From a budding idea in January to a transformative experience this past July, the first ever Bold Academy created far more impact than we could have imagined. For thirty days, we all lived under one roof in Boulder, with mentors, speakers and facilitators from around the world, combining entrepreneurial challenges with hands-on workshops and a healthy lifestyle, all dedicated to closing the gap between who we are now and who we want to be.
Now we’re planning the next one—this time in San Francisco.
Coming to the Bay this January 2013, we’re launching applications for a 10-day Bold Academy in two weeks. (Sign up to be notified via Bold Updates.)
Why San Francisco? As a hub for entrepreneurship and innovation, San Francisco offers access to mentorship in an urban setting (while still providing access to nature and a heathy lifestyle), and a strong community of Bold friends. Plus, having lived there in 2009-2010, before spending two years in New York, and now almost a year in Boulder, my gut says San Francisco is the right next spot for Bold. (I’m staying in Boulder for now but will be flying back and forth.)
Who is it for? You take life by the balls. You have an insatiable thirst for learning and detest mediocrity. Failure and experimentation are your vehicles toward growth. You’re a proactive agent of your own life—things don’t happen to you, they happen for you. Now, you’re ready to be stretched, shaped, and polished, armed with the habits, focus, courage, and community to boldly unleash your gifts on the world.
